What a time I have had getting on here to post. I recently changed my server and email account. I neglected to change it on Google which is where this blog is housed. They wouldn't let me on and when I asked them to send me a new password, they kept insisting on sending it to globalweb.net which is where the closed account is. Finally, I was able to get on by contacting globalweb and having them reopen the email address for just the mail from Google. How complicated?
It is a rainy day and I had the day off. I have been finishing my taxes with Turbo Tax. I am such a disorganized person when it comes to saving my info (yes, I have Quicken but no longer use it). Guess I should begin using it again for '09 taxes. I just barely made double digit income so one wonders what the big deal is. Looks like I will get some of the stimulus money indirectly through the bank that holds my home mortgage. I seem to qualify for all the criteria. Hope so since the money situation in this household is extremely critical. At least I have a job (sometimes). Tomorrow I am to work at BOCES in Glens Falls for the Special Ed Elem. school. It is only half a day.
I think we (Sebastian and I) are going to adopt a kitten. I need to do something to keep Sebastian more present when I am away from the house. He loves cats and since we had Perceval back a few years, he will keep watch of the kitty. Maybe they will even play. Bashey's vision is quite good, it is just his hearing that is gone. He sleeps too much and too soundly while I am away. We see the vet this Sat. for a physical and some shots. I plan to ask him if he thinks it is a good idea. I did visit the cat adoption place. They have over 400 cats in all sizes, colors and ages. I had cats on my head, on my shoulders, winding around my feet, jumping up on my legs and patting me on the back when I neared a perch. I loved being with them. I wish I could take more than one. Many of them plead to be taken home and loved.
I included a photo of Naples, Wiggins Pass Beach and the dolphins. I won't post a picture of Hartford now since we are very wet, drab and with piles of dirty cruddy snow around. There is water running in one of my crawl spaces. My yard is very wet but the cardinals are singing their hearts out. There are ice jams on the Mohawk River and some of the small streams. I don't see any baby lambs across the road yet. I can hear the stream that runs along my back border from my back deck. There are incredible pot holes and frost heaves in the roads. Teeth jarring actually. Ahh! Can Spring be far behind? Oh, I forgot to mention the mud ---
I am making a fish stew for dinner. It is a recipe given me by my friend Janet Lembke from Staunton, VA. Pete and I both enjoy fish and since it is cold and rainy, it will be a warming supper. We are eating at his house tonight. We are on a "take turn" kind of basis with our suppers. We have a dvd to watch tonight - an episode of the TV show 24 Hours. That show is and was very exciting. There are 5 or 6 discs in the series. I watched Dancing WithThe Stars and Biggest Loser this week so far. Also Amazing Race. I like some of the reality shows.
I am done with the taxes all but reviewing my input and I am tired. So will close for now.
Blessed Be friends
